Milly is no more with us but she will always be our kindest and most mature child we have ever had.

It had been a month since Meera, our first baby was with us. One day I heard puppies playing and barking so I looked out of the window n I saw two pups looking identical – white running around. Surprised and amused I ran out to see who this new baby was and realised it was a new entry! It took us a while to take her in but till then this adamant girl didn’t budge. Night after night she waited n longed for us to take her in till one day she won our hearts making us the luckiest family. ‘Milly ‘ is a very meaningful name as it rhymed with ‘Meera’ and also most importantly, she got lost twice and found her way back each time within her first six months. A wonder! She even jumped off the second floor one rainy evening n landed on her four legs without getting dirty. She was strong, heavy boned, healing, and had a mind of her own. This girl taught us a lot. Sometimes I wonder, who was the parent?
